New Restaurants in Beverly Hills
The culinary scene in Beverly Hills continues to grow with the arrival of the first Jean-Georges restaurant on the West Coast, Gratitude Beverly Hills, the trendy Alfred Coffee and more. We invite you to explore Beverly Hills’ latest restaurant openings below.
Jean-Georges Beverly Hills
With establishments that adorn the global landscape from New York City to Japan, Beverly Hills welcomed the opening of Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, which includes Jean-Georges Beverly Hills. The fine dining restaurant is the first West Coast venture by the acclaimed Michelin star chef and serves as the luxury property’s signature restaurant offering plush indoor seating, a 25-seat private dining room and a sprawling passionfruit vine-covered outdoor terrace. Featuring opulent French-American cuisine, the restaurant’s menu is available for in-room dining for guests of the hotel and reflects dishes inspired by popular dishes of other Jean-Georges restaurants from around the world.
Gratitude Beverly Hills
The hottest restaurant to hit the vegan dining scene, Gratitude Beverly Hills offers an upscale menu of vegan dishes curated by Executive Chef Dreux Ellis, and a wellness-minded beverage program by Beverage Director Jason Eisner. The restaurant features a naturally lit interior dining area amidst a long marble bar top, reclaimed wooden floors and a wide outdoor patio overlooking Canon Drive. Dine on organic and plant-based cuisine with dishes such as a Coconut Ceviche Tostada, Raw Pesto Kelp Noodles or a Raw Mexican Lasagna made with squash noodles and a cashew queso fresco. Complete your meal with any of the restaurant’s health-conscious cocktails like the popular “Cleansetini,” made with alkaline vodka, ginger and cayenne pepper.
Coffee aficionados are rejoicing with the opening of Alfred Beverly Hills on North Beverly Drive. Classifying themselves as the “Home of the World Famous Iced Vanilla Latte,” the trendy coffee shop, known for coining the term “But first, coffee,” offers an eclectic beverage menu of cold brew floats made with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and Stumptown Coffee, pressed juices from Raw Juicery, Kombucha on tap and much more. Enjoy your beverage with any of the shop’s sweet and savory options, such as pastries from Sugarbloom Bakery, a chicken chorizo or bacon cheddar Breakfast Burrito or light to-go bites sourced from local organic restaurants, M Café and Gratitude Beverly Hills. Make the most of your meal by enjoying it by the city’s historic lily pond and sign, located just across the street in Beverly Gardens Park.
North Shore Poke Co.
If you’re looking for a quick bite, look no further than North Shore Poke Company located on South Santa Monica Boulevard. With several locations throughout Southern California, the family-run business dedicates itself to serving delicious, fresh and affordable Hawaiian poke. Choose a base of rice served with thinly sliced cucumbers and create a full flavored experience by adding exotic favorites like crispy garlic, daikon spouts or macadamia nuts. If rice isn’t what you’re craving, consider ordering the Waimea Poke Nachos and North Shore Poke Tacos.
Tarte Tatin Bakery & Café
Nestled amongst the neighborhood shops of South Beverly Drive, Tarte Tatin Bakery & Café opened its doors in July 2017 serving pastries, sandwiches, salads and drinks. With influences from Israel, Tunisia, Romania and France, the bakery offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, such as the Jerusalem bagel toast or the Israeli breakfast, composed of farm-fresh eggs served any style, accompanied with house-made hummus, a fresh cucumber tomato salad, herb topped lebneh and a basket of fresh bread. The bakery also offers a selection of seasonal cakes and tarts prepared daily by their Head Chef, Kobi Tabiano, who studied the culinary arts in Paris, Geneva and Tel Aviv and worked worldwide to bring his unique taste to the new Beverly Hills bakery.
