New Restaurants and Retail in Beverly Hills
The culinary scene in Beverly Hills continues to receive attention with the opening of Avra Beverly Hills, the recent remodel of Crustcean Beverly Hills and more. The retail realm has also expanded, welcoming French fashion brand, Ba&Sh. We invite you to explore Beverly Hills’ latest openings below.
Avra Beverly Hills
New York City’s favorite power dining spot makes its West Coast debut with AVRA Beverly Hills. The popular high-end Greek restaurant takes overs the former Hakkasan space in the Golden Triangle and has been designed to create an atmosphere similar to that of an open-air villa in Greece, with fresh lemon trees, imported limestone and stone washed walls. The cuisine features traditional Greek dishes with an emphasis on fresh seafood.
Crustacean Beverly Hills
The 20 year-old celebrity hot spot, Crustacean Beverly Hills, recently re-emerged from its six-month makeover. The “new” Crustacean now offers two restaurants: one downstairs which still offers Chef An’s famous Garlic Noodles and Garlic Roasted Crab and includes an updated indoor/outdoor patio and upstairs, the ultra-private, invite-only restaurant, Da Lat Rose, featuring a menu by Chef Tony Nguyen. Da Lat Rose, named after the city in Southern Vietnam where An grew up.
Madeo, known for its classic Italian menu and its “A-list” clientele, has opened a temporary location in Beverly Hills on Camden Drive. Owned and operated by the Vietina Family, the restaurant serves a special menu composed of the finest and freshest foods flown in from Italy and an ever expanding wine list of over 1,500 labels. The space features furnishings from the restaurant’s original West Hollywood location, a full bar, semi-open kitchen, outdoor dining and a private events room on the second floor.
Newly reopened with an updated dining room and new tasting menu inspired by different wine regions around the world, celebrity chef Curtis Stone’s Maude offers only seven tables so that each diner can receive personalized service throughout the evening. The environment is described as equal parts luxurious and comfortable, serving menus that may vary in course numbers depending on the region. Menus rotate every three months throughout the year.
Visitors can now check out the new West Coast home of Paris-headquarter fashion brand, Ba&Sh, as they make their debut on the corner of Brighton Way and Beverly Drive. Ba&Sh , which stands for the first names of founders Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief who have been friends since childhood in France, sells women’s bohemian clothing with a Parisian flair.
