Macbeth is dead, long live the King! Dunsinane picks up immediately after Shakespeare’s play, and follows English general Siward’s struggle to impose order on the warring Scottish clans while finding himself drawn to Lady Macbeth. Esteemed Scottish playwright David Greig has written a riveting and uproarious saga in modern language, with explicit parallels to the wars in the Middle East and the Scottish Independent Movement, making the story both ancient and contemporary. The National Theatre of Scotland teams up with the Royal Shakespeare Company, known for the signature epic style they brought to Les Miserables and Nicholas Nickelby, in a theatrical event you will not want to miss.
