Getty Paris - Paley Screenings

The Paley Center for Media is pleased to feature French-oriented screenings each day at 3:00 pm in celebration of the ongoing Getty Paris: Life and Luxury exhibit at The Getty Center.  During the exhibit's run, The Paley Center for Media will offer programming themed around its French collections.  Visitors can stop by during open hours to catch programs featuring French entertainers like Maurice Chevalier, Edith Piaf and Yves Montand; classic sitcoms with storylines set in Paris like I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, and Jack Benny and famous literature made into TV movies and films like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera, A Tale of Two Cities and Camille.   Visit The Paley Center for Media, Wednesday through Sunday, 12 noon to 5:00 pm.

Savor a bit of Paris in the 90210! Paris: Life & Luxury, an exhibit showcasing the glamour and opulence of life in 18th century Paris, is on view at the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center, Los Angeles, through August 7, 2011. After perusing the exhibit, Museum-goers are invited to visit participating Beverly Hills attractions to continue their Francophile pursuits.   Special activities include culinary offerings, unique entertainment and exclusive hotel rates all compiled in honor of the exhibition.
