There are tricks and treats a-plenty as the Paley Center celebrates Halloween with a grab bag of episodes and specials celebrating every ghoul’s favorite holiday. Our family programming revolves around the mischief and witchery of October 31st.

Garfield’s Halloween Adventure
“You go out, you get candy; it’s as simple as that.” With that ambition in mind, Jim Davis’s lazy, lasagna-loving cat, Garfield (voice of Lorenzo Music), enlists the aide of his canine “nemesis,” Odie, to go trick-or-treating, in hopes of getting twice the amount of goodies. (1985; 25 minutes)

The Addams Family
There are few who can give trick-or-treaters a run for their money like the The Addams Family. As the odd-and-proud-of-it brood prepares for their favorite holiday, daughter Wednesday (Lisa Loring) is distraught—a neighbor insists there are no such things as witches. (1965; 30 minutes; includes commercials)

Soul Man
Small town Reverend Mike Weber (Dan Aykroyd) warns his sons not to indulge in any Halloween mischief, while he himself dresses as TV gourmet Julia Child to take his daughter trick-or-treating on this episode of Soul Man. (1997; 30 minutes; includes commercials)

Tales from the Darkside
In the premiere of this anthology series, stingy Gideon Hackles (Barnard Hughes) gives the town’s population a chance to erase their debts—if their offspring can survive trick-or-treating at his “haunted” house. (1983; 25 minutes)
