“Joys from the Garden” Lunch and Learn at Greystone Mansion

On Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Friends of Greystone are delighted to present Christy Wilhelmi, author of “Gardening for Geeks,” as she shares her knowledge on how you can create a thriving and productive environment for your plants, grow your own organic food while at the same time reduce pollution and waste.

Learn everything you need to know on how to establish a beautiful and sustainable vegetable patch, one microclimate at a time. Gardening can be so much fun, learn some great tricks to make sure you are doing it right. No gardening shears needed.

Before Christy’s lecture in the Mansion’s Living Room, a light buffet lunch will be served. Parking is complimentary and guests are welcome to tour the first floor of the Mansion.

“Joys from the Garden” is sponsored by the Friends of Greystone, a non-profit organization dedicated to the continuing restoration and preservation of historic Greystone Mansion and Park. Ticket sales support all Garden Projects at Greystone Park such as the Demonstration Vegetable Garden, the Greenhouse, Historical Planters, Gazebos, Courtyard Fountain and more.

Tickets are available for $55 for Friends of Greystone members or $65 for non-members.
