With hits including "The Rain, the Park and Other Things," "Hair," and "Indian Lake," the Cowsills' soaring harmonies reached the top of the charts in the late 1960s. Comprised of a family of musically gifted children and their talented mom, the group was an entertainment phenomenon, appearing on the top variety series of the day including The Ed Sullivan Show and The Dean Martin Show and influencing a generation of musicians and artists; they were even the real-life inspiration for the hit series The Partridge Family.
On Thursday, July 21 at 7pm, The Paley Center is proud to present this PaleyFest Rewind special event, featuring a screening of the new documentary Family Band: The Cowsills Story, chronicling the Cowsills' often tumultuous rise to fame and their enduring four-decade musical journey. Following the screening, join the film's creative team (Louise Palanker, Director/Producer, Ian Broyles, Director, and Bill Filipiak, Editor) and members of the Cowsills band (Bob, Paul, Richard and Susan Cowsill) for an in-person conversation and special musical performance.
Tickets are $15 for Paley members and $20 for the general
public. Click on http://www.paleycenter.org to
