Celebrate the holiday season with musical highlights from specials and weekly variety shows across the years, with some of the top stars in the business chiming in on seasonal favorites. Rare clips include The Annie Christmas Show, with the cast of the 1977 Broadway hit; Dinah Shore singing a Christmas song written by Judy Holliday; a tribute to Macy’s by Bob Hope; Leslie Uggams on Holiday Sing Along with Mitch; a number with Robert Morse and the cast of the 1960s musical sitcom That’s Life; and Gene Kelly hoofing with the Carpenters. Christmas Carols: A Scrooge Mash-Up
The Paley Center presents its very own version of Charles Dickens’s timeless tale, as told through twenty-one different television and motion picture adaptations. Experience Ebenezer Scrooge in the person of Kesley Grammer, Yosemite Sam, Patrick Stewart, Albert Finney, and Mister Magoo, among others, with highlights from Carols that are musical, balletic, animated, and traditional.
