The Passover Seder is a symbolic meal that marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday and tells the story of the Israelites' escape from slavery in Egypt. Passover begins the evening of Wednesday, April 5 and ends the evening of Thursday, April 13. There are several venues in Beverly Hills that offer special menus to commemorate the holiday.

Spago Beverly Hills – Barbara Lazaroff, co-founder of the renowned Spago Beverly Hills at 176 North Cañon Drive, is holding her annual charity Passover Seder on Thursday, April 6. Dinner and service begins promptly at 6 p.m. Enjoy an exquisite menu of holiday specials, everything from home-made gefilte fish, chicken and vegetable matzo ball soup to roasted wild Alaskan king salmon and braised beef short rib. Gorgeous desserts range from matzo toffee and fromage blanc cheesecake to Passover puffs with caramel sauce and sorbet. Nat’n Al's – This restaurant located at 414 North Beverly Drive has been a fixture in Beverly Hills since the 1940s, remaining one of the most important Jewish delis in Southern California. There’s a special Passover menu available from April 5 – 13, cooking up holiday classics such as potato latkes and noodle kugel, as well as chopped liver and charoset. The Nosh of Beverly Hills – This deli located at 9689 Santa Monica Boulevard is another key restaurant in Beverly Hills, offering in its Passover menu everything from potato kugel and whitefish salad mixed with onions and bell peppers to Angus brisket braised in onions and herbs and old-fashioned homemade chicken soup loaded with carrots and celery. JEM Community Center – This center will be hosting a fully catered community Passover Seder led by Rabbi Hertzel Illulian. Enjoy an inspirational Seder, complete with a gourmet Passover dinner, with the original hand-made shmurah matzah and four cups of exquisite kosher wine. Journey through the Haggadah with traditional songs, stories and spiritual insights.
