300 North Clark Drive
Beverly Hills, CA 90211
LOA/Apricot Tree and community partners invite you to musical performances by pianist Ayşe Taşpınar and violinist Mark Kashper followed by a public screening of The Story of Lina Amato, held at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills.
The film explores the Holocaust through the eyes of Lina Amato, who was born in the island of Rhodes to a Sephardic Jewish family. With the interventions of Selahattin Ülkümen, the Turkish Ambassador to Rhodes, Greece and two Italian teachers Lina's family was saved from deportation to Auschwitz during July 1944 - World War II.
The public event is in honor of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, survivors and Turkish diplomat Selahattin Ülkümen. In light of the recent rise in hate crimes in the U.S., this event is timely and a story very meaningful to share.

- 7:00 p.m. - Concert - In memoriam of world-renowned pianist and pedagogue Vitaly Margulis.
- 7:45 - Film Screening
