Please join The Virginia Robinson Gardens in a talk with architect Richard Manion as he shares the fascinating story of Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was not only a prominent figure in American history, from our third President to primary author of the Declaration of Independence and a leading proponent of republican democracy, he was also an accomplished architect. Monticello, his residence in the Virginia countryside, is an exploration of architectural ideas not only for his personal needs, but representative of his vision for the role of architecture in embodying ideals for a new country. A fitting work of art to consider as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country's founding.
Ticket includes lecture and light brunch.
