Beverly Hills Announces Exclusive Partnership With China International Culture Association to Celebrate the Year of the Sheep

Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau to Feature the Beijing Performance & Arts Group and Other Famous Chinese Artists in its Fourth Annual Chinese New Year Celebration

BEIJING, China – November 20, 2014 – East will meet West in February 2015 as Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau (BHCVB) today announced an exclusive partnership with the China International Culture Association (CICA) for its fourth annual Chinese New Year celebration on Sunday, February 1, 2015. The event, which will be held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, will feature traditional art and cultural performances directly from China’s finest artists and troupes.

This year’s Beverly Hills Chinese New Year celebration will feature special performances from the Beijing Performance & Arts Group, such as Chinese acrobatics from the China National Acrobatic Troupe, a Peking Opera performance by the renowned Chen Junhua, and a dance performance by the award-winning dancer Zhu Han and lead dancer of Beijing Dance Drama & Opera House, Miao Miao. Musical performances include a Pipa solo from Zhou Hui, an Erhu and Violin performance by Song Fei and Lu Siqing with piano accompaniment, and a performance of “Auld Lang Syne” by singers Chen Junhua and Gong Shuang. An art exhibition of the city of Beijing will also be on display in the Saban Theatre for all attendees to view prior to the event.

Participating hotels throughout Beverly Hills will join the city’s Chinese New Year festivities by offering special Chinese New Year packages during the month of February. Offerings include special Chinese services and amenities such as Chinese tea, slippers upon arrival, in-room Chinese breakfast dining options, almond and sesame cookies, as well as Chinese newspapers delivered to rooms daily. Chinese guests will feel even more welcome in Beverly Hills as the hotels throughout the city also have Mandarin speaking staff on site.

Beverly Hills’ annual Chinese New Year celebrations echo the city’s position as a China-friendly travel destination. The yearly festivities have been well received in Beverly Hills and have become a highly anticipated event in Southern California.
