Beverly Hills, CA Holds First-Ever Comprehensive Sales Mission In China
RELEASE DATE: May 15, 2014
Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau (BHCVB) has been making trips to China over the last five years to lure high net worth individuals to the Southern California region. This year marks the start of a new multi-prong Sales Mission approach with four comprehensive events that will allow BHCVB to continue to build relationships abroad in China. Targeting top media, travel trade representatives, business leaders and government officials, a Beverly Hills delegation will promote the city over a two week period.
“China continues to be a very important feeder market for the city of Beverly Hills. Business continues to accelerate at a rapid pace. The purpose of this mission is to reinforce that Beverly Hills is an easy place to travel for Chinese visitors and we look forward to continuing to welcome the growing number of Chinese travelers staying in our hotels,” explains Julie Wagner, CEO Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau. “BHCVB plans to meet with more than 200 contacts during four different events including key press, luxury travel buyers working with people that are looking for the level of service and luxury we have to offer, business leaders and government officials.“
Sales Mission details:
Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse will visit China with Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau CEO Julie Wagner May 25 – June 1 for the California Mayor Delegation Trip. The Mayor delegation tour will include stops in Beijing, Wuham, Hongan, Guangzhou and Jieyang. During the mission Mayor Lili Bosse and Julie Wagner will meet Chinese government officials and business leaders. Former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will also be attending.
Following the Mayors’ Mission, Bosse and Wagner will head to Shanghai for the first-ever Beverly Hills Sales Mission, joining The Peninsula Beverly Hills Managing Director Offer Nissenbaum. The Beverly Hills events will commence with a media reception and panel for about 30 top Chinese journalists on June 3 at The Peninsula Shanghai. A formal dinner and reception targeting travel trade will take place on June 4th also at The Peninsula Shanghai with about 100 attendees. Additional trade appointments and media interviews will take place throughout the trip.
From June 2 – 5, Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau will also be exhibiting at International Luxury Travel Mart (ILTM) Asia, held in Shanghai to connect with luxury travel buyers and media.
The Beverly Hills China Sales Mission is planned to become an annual event. China is the fastest growing and one of the most significant demographics for the area, particularly in terms of luxury shopping. The Sales Mission comes at the ideal time as the city gears up to welcome more than 1,600 Chinese visitors over the next month with Perfect China, a marketing company bringing professionals as part of an incentive trip, as well as several other intimate high-end groups doing trips and galas in Beverly Hills as a result of requests from Chinese relationships both locally and abroad.
