Beverly Hills Ushers in a New Era of Modern Luxury
Major Renovations, Updates and Openings Arrive to Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – October 1, 2015 – Beverly Hills announces a new era of modern luxury accommodations with the recent transformations of Mosaic Hotel, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and SIXTY Beverly Hills and the introduction of Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills arriving in 2017.
The city has an impressive total of over 2,200 hotel rooms and is home to one of the largest concentrations of five star hotels in the US, second only to New York City. The opening of Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills will add another 170 rooms to the count.
The global luxury hotels market is booming and is expected to reach almost $200 billion USD by 2021 according to Transparency Market Research. Julie Wagner, CEO of Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau comments: “Newly-remodeled hotels, such as L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and Mosaic Hotel, and the launch of Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills will certainly boost the city’s existing reputation as the world’s hub of five star hotels and luxury travel, helping drive the growth of the industry in Beverly Hills.”
Mosaic Hotel launched in August 2015, following a multi-million dollar makeover
Following an extensive renovation, Mosaic Hotel, an intimate boutique 49-room luxury hotel, has launched this summer. The hotel’s new design, as envisioned by London-based design firm, Luxlo, is rich and alluring, and celebrates California through the injection of bright colors and original design elements. From the whimsical palm trees on the wallpaper, a trademark of Beverly Hills, to the ultramodern artwork, such as a custom weave sculpture by Renee Dinauer and original artwork by David Dauncey.
A classic doorman donning a Bowler hat greets guests on arrival and ushers them into a welcoming lobby complete with a medley of the world’s finest furnishings and fabrics. The hotel’s pool area has also been given a new look with sleek white furniture, cabanas and cozy fire pit to deliver an inspiring setting to swim and unwind.
L’Ermitage Beverly Hills to unveil a new design by winter 2015
The iconic all-suite, five-star L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, Viceroy Hotel Group's luxury retreat destination, will unveil the re-design of its stunning 117 suites, public areas and restaurant, to be completed at the end of 2015.
The new design by luxury design firm Smith/Firestone Associates (SFA Design) encompasses spacious suites, which start at 650 sq. feet, and incorporates lavish Venetian cut-glass mirrors which reflect caramel-colored walls, shimmering with gold and grey sparkle. This leads guests to a celebrity-ready dressing room, complete with a walk-in closet and a selection of mirrors featuring indoor and outdoor lighting settings. The perfect reimagining of this Beverly Hills retreat is completed by how the floor-to-ceiling suede and velvet headboards, white onyx and grey marble, eclectic art and inspiring technology align in the bedroom.
Plans for an innovative and chic restaurant concept and the hotel lobby will be announced soon.
SIXTY Beverly Hills completed soft renovation in September 2015

This includes beautiful hanging lamps, bright cream colored sheers, white marble chrome lined table tops on all credenzas and contemporary bright carpets around each bed, lighted make-up mirrors in all bathrooms along with brighter overhead lighting. Exclusive to the hotel’s suites are new marble side tables and fully reupholstered furniture.
