Rodeo Drive Glows with White for the Worldwide Epicurean Phenomenon

On Wednesday, August 21, Beverly Hills, California came alive as more than 1,300 guests from all over Los Angeles were ushered into the city for the 25th anniversary of international event Diner en Blanc (Dinner in White). The first-ever Los Angeles event location was kept secret until guests were transported to the venue for the big reveal - the heart of glamorous Beverly Hills on iconic Rodeo Drive, a fitting scene for the elegant pop up dinner party.

In Diner en Blanc tradition, attendees dressed in head to toe white, created their own personalized dining experience with table linens, candles and eclectic picnic items all brought by the guests themselves. Over the course of the evening, the diners ate, mingled and danced amid live music from 7-11pm. The pop up event brought an audience able that witnessed visually breathtaking moments including diners sitting amongst world renowned designer boutiques, under palm trees and a beautiful night's sky, a sea of festive white balloons and guests fashionably dressed in white dancing on the street after dinner.

The event, which launched in Paris in 1988 today takes place across the globe. Keeping with the tradition, over 1,000 foodies and cultural enthusiasts dressed in head to toe white descend upon a secret location that is revealed at the very last minute, bringing with them their own gourmet picnic, tables, chairs, libations and dinnerware. This chic picnic is equal parts mystery tour, flash mob dining and joyous celebration.
