'La Dolce Vita' in Beverly Hills

(June 6, 2011) - Beverly Hills, Calif - To commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy, eight Beverly Hills restaurants are participating in 'Italian Dining Week' June 19-26th.  These notable eateries are enticing locals and visitors to taste the sweet life of Italy in Beverly Hills with mouthwatering prix fixe lunch and dinner menus.

Diners can select from an assortment of Italian dishes during each course: 'Primi Piatti,' 'Secondi Piatti,' and 'Dolce,' for $28 per person for lunch and ranging from $30 to $60 for dinner.  Several restaurants are offering wine pairings at an additional fee.

Italian Dining Week is part of a week of activities paying tribute to Italian lifestyle, flavor and design with special events and offerings throughout the City of Beverly Hills.  The week kicks off on Father's Day, June 19th, when the annual Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance celebrates The Art of Italian Motoring. The annual event will highlight more than 125 superb automobiles and motorcycles and will feature Italian makes and models including the best selection of Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia and Maserati. During the week that follows, Italian Week enthusiasts are invited to experience exclusive promotions and events, including "Gioiello" Days Celebrating Italian Jewelry at select boutiques, including Buccellati, Bvlgari, Damiani, GEARYS Beverly Hills and Vhernier:  June 18-26, 2011; and Cinecittà Luce at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences:  June 24, 2011.

Italian Week culminates in the debut of the area's first Gran Fondo cycling event which will start in Beverly Hills.  On Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, more than 1,000 cyclists will gather at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard with family, friends and anyone with a penchant for cycling for a Cyclists' Expo.  The expo will feature products and services, attractions and some hearty Italian cuisine.  At 7:00 am on Sunday morning, registered participants and enthusiastic supporters will line up on Rodeo Drive for the start of the ride which will ultimately send cyclists west on Wilshire Boulevard toward Santa Monica and the ocean.  Cyclists will make their way back to 9900 Wilshire Boulevard to celebrate the afternoon with friends and family.
