Bird LA Day at Franklin Canyon Park

Nature Hike / Intro to Birding, hosted by Bird LA Day & Beverly Hills PTA 

Guided Hike & Introduction to Birding Learn to identify our feathered friends that live in the Santa Monica Mountains. This is a family-­‐friendly program great for kids of all ages (trails are not stroller friendly). Please bring your own binoculars, water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, and weather-­‐appropriate clothes, such as hats and layers.

Join hike leader / birding expert Scott Logan (Wild Wings Backyard Nature), PTA leaders Martha Ramirez (Pres, Beverly Vista) & Jill Egerman (Co-­Exec VP, Horace Mann), Beverly Vista Principal Christian Fuhrer & Gaby Reims Alexander (Bird LA Day)

Meet at the north end of the parking lot adjacent to the Sooky Goldman Nature Center. Access Franklin Canyon Park at the north entrance on Mulholland across from Tree People, or from the south by making a left on Beverly Drive from Coldwater Canyon north toward Sutton Way. Turn right onto North Franklin Canyon Drive and follow the road until you come to the parking lot at the William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom and Sooky Goldman Nature Center.
