It was her love for materials that drove Anne Fontaine's passion for clothing which she had already nurtured by sewing for herself and friends ever since she was a child. Her taste for the natural is clearly expressed in her infamous white shirt, to which she has brought a new face and an unforeseen level of diversity. It started with poplin, piqué cotton and organdy and has since evolved into linen, lace and other new materials with signature details including double collars and lacing.
