Children's Institute is proud to present this one night, invitation-only showcase of emergency, in which Daniel portrays more than 40 characters and explores our shared humanity and what it means to be free. Through the characters’ testimonies on identity and personal freedom, emergency weaves an intricately woven, witty, and moving commentary on modern African American life.
Daniel is an award-winning actor, singer, writer and activist. In addition to his work on stage and screen, he created I DREAM, a nationally recognized trauma-informed arts program that helps young people use performance and writing to channel their stories of trauma and adversity. I DREAM has reached over 2,000 young people across the country, and Children’s Institute plans to bring the program to hundreds of South LA high school students. Please join us at this complimentary event and help ensure more youth in South LA can benefit from this life-changing opportunity.
This event is now full. Please contact Ticket Services at (310) 746-4000 to be placed on the waitlist.
