The reading benefits The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles programs Will Power to Youth and Veterans in Art.  For more information on how to support these programs, view www.shakespearecenter.org.

Reservations are required for this staged reading as seats are limited. Please visit www.beverlyhills.org/bhrec, to reserve your seats.  A light, catered reception will take place prior to the performance, at 3 p.m.

The story, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, is one of William Shakespeare’s popular comedies.  In a magical forest near Athens, fairies, goblins, lovers and would-be tragedians all meet, mix and mingle, thanks to mistaken identities, magical potions, jealousy and love - especially, love at first sight! Shakespeare’s most frequently performed comedy has it all: angry fathers, runaway daughters, jilted lovers, royal weddings, feuding fairy kings and queens, tragedy, comedy, a braying donkey, and a mischievous fellow named Puck! Join us for a romp through a magical wood where we see “what fools these mortals be!”.

The event is recommended for ages 12 years and up.  The 90-minute staged reading is without intermission.  Parking is available in the Civic Center parking structure, adjacent to the library on Rexford Drive.

For more information, call (310) 285-6850.
