In honor of Chinese New Year 2014 and the Year of the Horse, Two
Rodeo Drive and the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau,
bring you Storm Castle by celebrated American artist Deborah
Butterfield.
This larger-than-life-size sculpture will be on display throughout
the month of February. At an impressive 2,500 pounds, the unique
piece is created through a meticulous process. The artist
constructs the form of the horse from gathered wood. Each piece of
wood is then taken apart and cast in bronze. Finally, Butterfield
carefully reconstructs the horse to create the finished work of
art.
The art is on view to the public at the corner of Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way.
