The Mindy Project: Six Seasons of Style Curated by Costume Designer Salvador Perez
This exhibit will immerse visitors into the bold color palette and trendsetting style of the critically acclaimed Hulu original comedy series The Mindy Project, showcasing the many inspired and custom-made costume creations designed by Emmy-nominated costume designer and president of the Costume Designers Guild, Salvador Perez.
Whether bedecked in dazzling sequined saris, to-die-for coats, or au courant gold unitards, "Mindy Lahiri" is one of television’s most fashion-forward characters and her iconic style has added a unique and popular facet to the beloved, award-winning series. In celebration of the upcoming sixth and final season of the show, this first-of-its-kind exhibition will explore the unique relationship that costumes have played in bringing the show to life, featuring costumes worn by the cast from seasons past and yet to be seen this season. The interactive exhibit will also feature life-size episodic photography and behind-the-scenes video segments that will take visitors inside Mindy’s fun, fabulous, and oh-so-stylish world.
"Costume designing The Mindy Project has been a career-defining experience for me, I could never have imagined how magical this project would be. Looking back over six seasons and 117 episodes, I am very proud of the colorful, fashionable world I was able to create and share with the fans of The Mindy Project. This exhibit is a gift to the fans who have been so supportive all these years," said Salvador Perez.
The Mindy Project stars Mindy Kaling, Ed Weeks, Ike Barinholtz, Beth Grant, Xosha Roquemore, and Fortune Feimster. The Mindy Project is created and executive produced by Mindy Kaling.
