Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences headquarter is located in Beverly Hills in the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre. The Samuel Goldwyn Theatre is a world-class, Oscar statue surrounded theatre that hosts movie premieres and other special events. It is most widely known for broadcasting the annual Academy Awards, Oscars and silent movie screenings with accompanying orchestra.

Walking distance from the headquarter is The Margaret Herrick Library, which carries a vast collection of motion picture art records and hosts various exhibitions. One of the exhibits, called “Star-Studded Stomping Grounds”, displays historical photographs taken in Beverly Hills.

The Academy also hosts screenings and exhibitions in the Bing Theatre (located two miles away from the headquarter). When purchasing a ticket to an Academy Exhibition, it gives you the freedom to visit all Academy events held on the same day, including exhibitions and screenings.
