As with so many historic events our nation has experienced, September 11, 2001, is a day we shall never forget. The Beverly Hills 9/11 Memorial Garden serves to honor all those who were lost, those devoted to keeping America safe and all of us who still believe everyone is created equal and deserves the rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
The Beverly Hills 9/11 Memorial Garden is located on the Fire Department grounds at 445 North Rexford Drive in Beverly Hills on the North/West corner of Rexford and South Santa Monica Blvd.
The garden is open to the public every day and provides a sanctuary for those who wish to sit and remember the events of that day. In addition to the imposing Twin Towers floor beam erected at the center of the site, various vignettes have been incorporated to represent the locations of the three plane crash sites – the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The memorial garden was inaugurated on September 11, 2011 in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
