Peter Greenberg’s Hidden Gems of Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills is home to many Hollywood stars and flagship shopping, but you probably know that — not to mention, a few luxury hotels. But Peter Greenberg takes us beyond the city’s iconic locations to share some of his Hidden Gems of Beverly Hills.
Auto Vault Storage
The episode begins on Rodeo Drive where Peter Greenberg heads below the surface to visit Auto Vault Storage. This hidden gem has been underground since 1979 and cares for some of the most rare and exotic vehicles in the world for its valued clients.
Beverly Hills Historical Society - A Tour with Phil Savenick
For a peak into old Hollywood and an insider's perspective into the City of Beverly Hills, Peter Greenberg enjoys a casual excursion with longtime resident and raconteur, the late Phil Savenick of the Beverly Hills Historical Society. As they tour the city, Savenick shares Beverly Hills' rich history from the Lily Pond to Rodeo Drive and the famous Bridle Path where residents once rode their horses.
Virginia Robinson Gardens
Virginia Robinson Gardens is a grand estate and cultural gem that is open to the public by reservation only. Constructed in 1911, it was once the residence of retail giants Virginia and Harry Robinson of their namesake Robinson Department store. It now occupies an illustrious place in the city’s history as the first luxury estate built in Beverly Hills. And did you know Virginia Robinson Gardens is home to the largest King Palm Forest in North America?
Crustacean Beverly Hills
In Beverly Hills, restaurants, movie stars and celebrity chefs go hand in hand. Crustacean Beverly Hills is no exception. This restaurant has been serving up fusion culinary treasures since 1995 and is home of Chef Helene An’s famous Garlic Noodles and other Vietnamese favorites.
The Fountain Coffee Room at The Beverly Hills Hotel
Though not featured in this segment, The Fountain Coffee Room at The Beverly Hills Hotel is a favorite of Peter Greenberg’s. This iconic diner is loved by Hollywood stars and features a 1950s-style counter service. Come for breakfast and stay for the warm, welcoming and casual atmosphere.
Edelweiss Chocolates
On North Cañon Drive, you can’t miss the red awning that will lead you to Edelweiss Chocolates. This Beverly Hills treasure, which will be featured in a future Peter Greenberg episode, is home to extraordinary, handcrafted chocolates. And if you’re an I LOVE LUCY fan, you may know that this is the shop that inspired the famous chocolate factory scene from the beloved show.
